Anne Alden Biography
Anne Alden is a Washington-based visual artist working in oil, acrylic, and mixed media. Her practice focuses on light, atmosphere, and expansive landscape, creating immersive paintings that capture a brief moment in time and space.
Alden’s artistic development spans decades, shaped by early training, continued study during her service in the U.S. Navy, and later formal education. She earned a BFA in Visual Communication from Northwest College of Art and Design and maintains a multidisciplinary practice that includes fine art, illustration, and design.
Since 2000, she has sustained an independent studio practice, producing commissioned work, murals, and a 24-volume illustrated book series. She currently lives and works in the remote Okanogan Highlands of Washington.
